KDS Presents

Education that takes IGCSE System

KDS is a private co-educational school offering the British Curriculum (IGCSE)

Currently we have children from over 30 countries. The medium of communication in the school is English. However, Arabic, French and German are taught as additional languages.

KDS Sections

The school is divided into four major sections. Click any section tab, on the left, to read about it

Kindergarten: KG1, KG2 and Reception Class

KG1 takes children from the ages of 3 years.

Reception Class: Age group of 4 – 5 years: The children learn to trace and write the alphabet both the capital and small letters.

They count, trace and write numbers 1 to 10 (KG1) and then 1 to 20 (KG2) and 1 to 100 (for reception class). These are taught with the aid of Flash Cards.

Key Stage 1 (year 1 and year 2): Age group of 6 – 7 years.

Most of our books are from the UK with some from USA, India, East Africa and West Africa. The variety of books give the students a more holistic learning scope.

Key Stage 2 of the British Education System(year 3 to year 6).

Cambridge Secondary 1: (year 7 to year 9)

Here the science subjects are split into the different sections for specialization purposes. This stage introduces the subjects for the IGCSE. These include; Physics, Chemistry, Biology.

Cambridge Secondary 2: (year 10 and year 11)

Learners are taught subjects that give them a thorough introduction to the main IGCSE curriculum.

From year 10 the students are guided to select a minimum of nine in preparation for the IGCSE exams. By year 11 the students register for a minimum 8 subjects in the IGCSE exams.

Khartoum Diplomatic School (KDS) was started in the early 1990s

In a bid to provide a quality international education system that would appeal to the children of Diplomats, expatriates, Sudanese, nationals and investors.
